M2M vendor Telit has launched what it describes as the industry’s first one-stop shop for M2M communication modules and managed services, including connectivity.

The new product, branded m2mAIR, is now available to European customers, but rollouts in the US, the Asia Pacific and Latin America are scheduled for later this year.

m2mAIR covers all network-related needs, says Telit, including SIM management, remote module management, security, reporting and monitoring, SIM cards, rate-plans, comprehensive customer support as well as wireless coverage in partnership with mobile-phone operator Telefónica.

Telit says m2mAIR allows customers to remotely manage modules and SIMs deployed in the field using a state-of-the-art Software as a Service (SaaS) platform.

It says that customers can combine bespoke price plans, maximum flexibility and embedded cost control with Telit’s module technology and technical know-how to shorten time to market and reduce total cost of ownership during the lifecycle of an m2m application.
