Sunrise Telecom will serve as a channel partner to market, sell and support Calnex products to customers in Latin America. Sunrise already carries an established presence in the region, which will help Calnex extend its market reach.

The aim of the partnership is to provide a powerful test solution for Ethernet synchronization technologies, such as IEEE 1588v2, Synchronous Ethernet, as well as Ethernet operations administration and maintenance (OAM) standards like ITU-T Y.1731, all of which are seeing significant growth in the Latin America region.

Demand for properly ensured backhaul network synchronization has increased as telecommunications carriers face pressure to provide more bandwidth.

Calnex is a small firm with less than 50 employees. However Sunrise Telecom is a medium-sized company (under 500 employees) which currently averages over $8 million in annual revenue.
