• Talk about how service providers are challenged in terms of being able to differentiate not just with their respective networks, but also the services offered to consumers and enterprise users.

• One area of the network where there is a lot of activity is the network edge, a segment where the network begins to touch the end user. How has the network edge evolved?

• Unlike the legacy telecom services world where a provider would build an overlay network for every service, service providers today try to find ways to leverage a network investment — be it a router, switch or even a last mile network — to serve multiple purposes, including business services, residential and even wholesale. Would you agree?

• In addressing the network edge, Juniper itself has developed what it calls the Intelligent Services Edge. Share with us the drivers behind developing the Intelligent Services Edge. How are carriers leveraging it today?

• One of the components of the Intelligent Services Edge is that it leverages Juniper’s JUNOS operating system to deliver various edge services such as Broadband Services Routing, Dynamic Application Awareness, and Session Border Control functionality. What benefits does this bring to the carrier community?
