Following the success of the Region’s very first mobile conference held in Sri Lanka last year the Information Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka will be hosting the South Asian Mobile Conference 2011 on the 07th of June 2011 at the Grand Ball Room, Hotel Galadari.
Broadband World Forum Asia will be held on May 10 and 11, 2011 at the KL Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and this year will be co-located with IP&TV Forum Asia to complement the activity within both the fixed and mobile operator markets and the content and TV ecosystems.

Korea Electric Power Corp. (Seoul), South Korea's number 1 electricity producer, has announced it plans to invest $1.8 billion (2 trillion won) over the next five years in a smart grid.
