RACO Wireless partners with Securus, Direct Communication Solutions

RACO Wireless (Cincinnati, Ohio), a provider of machine-to-machine (M2M) connectivity, announced on Wednesday that it will provide the M2M backbone for Securus Inc. (Cary, N.C.), a provider of GPS-based products and services, as well as provide an M2M service package for vertical market applications to Direct Communication Solutions (DCS) (Coral Spring, Fla.), a distributor of embedded modules for M2M developers.

Specifically, RACO Wireless will support wireless network connectivity and SIM management for GPS applications offered by Securus Inc. RACO and DCS will provide M2M solutions that include connectivity, airtime, rate plans, devices and SIM management for a number of vertical industries.

RACO Wireless provides wireless connectivity for machine-to-machine applications via T-Mobile’s network.

Securus will use RACO Wireless’ Omega Management Suite (OMS) platform for SIM management on its personal, portable GPS devices. According to RACO, the Omega Management Suite is an information tool that delivers visibility into the wireless network and provides tools designed to simplify SIM management. OMS features real-time SIM monitoring & reports, overage reports & alerts, SIM activation & maintenance, SIM management, web based billing, and APN system hardware status monitors.
