Telenor Connexion (Stockholm, Sweden), an M2M service provider, on Tuesday announced the expansion of its business development team in Japan and Malaysia.
The Tokyo office established in 2010 is now expanded with a local team. Kentaro Ohshida has been appointed Account Liaison Director and contact point for the Japan office. Ohshida worked with a major Japanese consumer electronics manufacturer for almost a decade.
Telenor Connexion is additionally appointing Thomas Strandin as Head of Sales for the Asia Pacific region. Strandin has worked with B2B sales within the telecom industry for more than 10 years, spanning from security and smart grids applications to mobile health, and other industry verticals.
According to Telenor Connexion, the expanded presence in Japan and South East Asia will allow an increased level of service awareness to customers and partners across Asia. Last month Telenor Connexion also expanded its executive team into North America.
Telenor Connexion already serves customers, such as Nissan and Hitachi, in Asia, and spans multiple vertical markets including automotive, asset management and security.
Telenor Connexion is wholly owned by Telenor Group, a mobile operator.
