Telenity has launched two new M2M solutions intended to help mobile operators manage their embedded connections and develop services for vertical markets, as well as generate more revenue per M2M connection.
The US company, which specializes in location-based technology, has unveiled an M2M connectivity and device management platform called Canvas m2mConnect, in addition to a service enablement platform branded Canvas m2mEnable.
Canvas m2mConnect includes is designed to improve the management of connectivity, accounts, settlements and revenues and SIMs through flexible billing and charging policies.
The Canvas m2mEnable service, meanwhile, is intended to help operators manage their “M2M services community” in a centralized manner, allowing partners to cooperate with one another to create new customer offerings.
“The M2M connectivity market is expected to grow each year by more than 25% and revenues addressable by mobile network operators are expected to reach $373 billion,” said Ilhan Bagoren, the chief executive of Telenity (Monroe, USA). “The new M2M solutions will help operators address this market potential and further monetize their network assets with an attractive set of capabilities in device connectivity management, partner management, policy control, service creation, along with flexible billing and charging policies, and reduced time to market.”
Telenity lists the benefits of Canvas m2mConnect as support for advanced partnership management; automated provisioning and lifecycle management of M2M module connectivity; connectivity monitoring, real-time charging and policy control; and integration with existing BSS and OSS platforms.
It says that Canvas m2mEnable should reduce M2M application development time, provide access to data associated with a broad range of device types by multiple applications and allow faster “onboarding” of new M2M services from various vertical partners.
