M2M specialist Essence says it has closed seven new deals in Europe, the Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Israel over the past three months for its smart living and smart care offerings.
According to the company, three of those deals came with major players that have already been able to grow spending per device thanks to the use of Essence (Herzliya, Israel) technology.
“Three of the new deals are with Tier 1 service providers who have quickly seen the value of our technology to simultaneously enhance customer loyalty and grow ARPU with a short time to market of under four months,” said Ben Weinberger, the deputy chief executive of Essence.
“With Essence, [service providers] get the complete package with minimal hassle and maximum satisfaction,” added Weinberger. “The ROI for service providers and value proposition to consumers are very clear.”
Essence says that because its solutions are modular and scalable they allow service providers to begin offering basic services and then add options as adoption grows.
WeR@Home – the company’s smart-living offering – is described as a connected-home solution that can be installed in less than 15 minutes and then managed using mobile and web-based apps.
The system can be connected to more than 1,000 low-power-consumption devices, such as lighting control and thermostats.
Meanwhile, Care@Home is intended to enhance quality of life for senior citizens by tracking patterns of activity and alerting caregivers if there is any change.
For instance, if a refrigerator is normally opened six times a day but opened only once on a particular day the system would automatically alert the caregiver and family members.
Essence says it now services more than 10 million products deployed and used by Tier 1 service providers worldwide.
