AppDirect, a provider of cloud service marketplace and management platforms, announced that it is providing its cloud service for Deutsche Telekom’s new Business Marketplace. With the Business Marketplace, Deutsche Telekom is able to deliver secure cloud applications and services to SMB customers.
The Business Marketplace will give SMBs the ability to connect with application developers, as well as offer its customers an integrated platform to find, buy and manage cloud-based applications and services.
As a white label cloud services marketplace (CSM) provider, AppDirect (San Francisco, Calif., USA) helps Deutsche Telekom (Bonn, Germany) to offer a branded and customized marketplace. The Business Marketplace is deployed within a secure infrastructure housed in Deutsche Telekom’s European data centers, says AppDirect. Full commercial launch of the Business Marketplace is expected in summer 2012.
The telecom carrier is utilizing the AppDirect Developer Portal to allow regional software providers and developers to create and curate a set of localized applications and services. These applications can help SMBs manage operations—from accounting, to human resources, to communications, and more.
Deutsche Telekom can also administer the entire Business Marketplace ecosystem, including product catalogs, customer service, marketing, and billing, with one integrated, back-end system, says AppDirect. AppDirect is also working with Bell Canada and SaskTel on cloud services.
