Device Insight (Munich, Germany) is providing live, hands-on demonstrations of its "CenterSight" software this week at CeBIT, inside our own M2M Zone Pavilion. The interface is live on the show floor, not a simulation, and functions in near real-time.
One of the major challenges in remote monitoring is the various and disparate types of assets which require such monitoring. Industrial machines for example are monitored using certain methods, while energy flow requires different specialized methods, the same is true for vehicles, and again for buildings. In a large or even medium-sized company, all of these may need to be accounted for at once, necessitating multiple tracking interfaces for asset managers.
CenterSight is designed to accommodate all the various types of remote monitoring, simultaneously if needed. From a simple web portal, users may access energy usage data, vehicle fuel consumption, office space heating and cooling, or any other remote monitoring application, within a clean and simple tabbed interface. One minute we're viewing temperature readouts for the company's Munich office, the next we're accessing historical data on the CEO's driving habits which, apparently, can be...aggressive. As mentioned, the software updates automatically in near real-time.
CenterSight is offered as a managed software-as-a-service and is available now.
