MedApps telehealth now certified on KORE Telematics network

Digital wireless services provider KORE Telematics, specializing in machine-to-machine (M2M) communications, announced today that MedApps telehealth products are now certified for use on the KORE network. The MedApps Mobile Wireless Health Monitoring System relies on the KORE cellular M2M network to remotely collect, store and report timely and accurate health information from any location.

A number of health conditions, including diabetes, congestive heart failure (CHF), asthma (COPD) and hypertension, can be monitored remotely while a patient is at home, improving care and significantly reducing healthcare costs. The FDA-cleared MedApps System automatically collects and transmits data via the KORE network from a remote patient’s health monitor to a specified care provider. Healthcare professionals have the ability to monitor and review transmitted data, and can even integrate it into existing electronic medical records.

“Telehealth applications are an exciting area of growth in the M2M market, and depend on highly reliable, ubiquitous and cost-effective wireless networks. Compelling applications such as those delivered by MedApps offer the benefits of remote health monitoring to patients nearly anywhere,” said Alex Brisbourne, president and COO, KORE Telematics.

“MedApps is committed to developing health monitoring connectivity solutions that drive down healthcare costs by improving patient compliance,” said Kent Dicks, MedApps founder and CEO.
