KEMET Corp selects tw telecom for BCDR data replication

tw telecom (Littleton, Colorado), a provider of managed services, including Ethernet, converged and VPN solutions for businesses in South Carolina and throughout the U.S., today announced that KEMET Corporation has selected it to provide Gigabit Ethernet Service to connect KEMET’s North American headquarters in Simpsonville, S.C., to one of its data centers in Columbia, S.C.

KEMET selected tw telecom for its ability to deliver Gigabit metro rings and inter-market circuits in South Carolina and across the U.S. The company is using tw telecom’s Business Ethernet service in part for disaster recovery data-replication.

In addition, tw telecom is delivering KEMET a comprehensive suite of new Business Ethernet networking solutions, as part of a multi-year agreement. The new services will allow KEMET to connect its data center and headquarter locations more efficiently, securely and cost effectively.
