Eurotech, a supplier of embedded technologies, products and systems, last week announced the launch of SekuFACE, a new family of IP-based Biometric Face Recognition Systems that target demanding security applications where intelligent association of personal identity and permission rights is needed.

Based on biometric mapping of face images and their automatic validation against the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standard (ISO/IEC 19794-5), SekuFACE systems simplify compliancy and privacy issues, while providing time fast and reliable facial recognition, says Eurotech (Udine, Italy).

SekuFACE systems detect human faces and match them with reference biometric tracks, allowing it to identify the subjects and monitor their transit through checkpoints and access passages in restricted areas. SekuFACE delivers an accuracy rate of 95% in any light condition, says the company. Accordance with ICAO standard ensures consistent quality of all samples while biometric mapping and user-configurable automatic deletion policies streamline the compliance of installed systems with privacy regulations.

SekuFACE enables effective monitoring of large structures by activating multiple access security levels, tracking simultaneous targets and managing hierarchical access gates, says Eurotech. Easy to be interfaced with other data sources, such as personal ID lists and badge readers, SekuFACE is also suited to implement cross-checking of credentials for higher levels of security.
