Middle East telecoms giant Etisalat has announced the launch of an M2M Control Center that it says will allow enterprise customers to activate, manage and quickly scale up their connected-device businesses and deployments.

The facility is powered by M2M platform specialist Jasper Wireless (Mountain View, CA, USA), a member of the unnamed M2M alliance that involves Etisalat (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates) and a range of other multinational operators.

Etisalat says the Control Center offers enterprises a real-time view of how devices are connected using the Etisalat mobile network.

Using the Control Center, customers will be able to monitor M2M devices in the field and quickly respond to any problems, says Etisalat.

“Etisalat’s ICT team continuously strives to provide solutions and add value to businesses by providing the latest M2M services,” said Abdulla Hashim, the senior vice president of ICT for Etisalat. “With the automated and intelligent solutions of the M2M Control Center, businesses in the UAE are now empowered more than ever to get to market quickly, run operations efficiently and grow their business profitably.”

“The launch of the M2M Control Center will enable enterprise customers to automate processes to streamline operations and scale faster,” he added.

According to the operator, the Control Center features a range of diagnostic tools and detailed billing and usage reports, allowing businesses to “further drive efficiency and profitability”.

Etisalat says the service is particularly suited to businesses in vertical markets like construction, infrastructure, retail and oil and gas.
