Integra5 takes on the blended bundle
Helps service providers break down service silos
by Sean Buckley
In the following Audiocast, Flynn-Ripley addresses the following questions:
Whether it's Comcast’s US$99 a month offering or even RCN’s $75 offering,
there’s no shortage of service bundles out in the marketplace for
residential customer. As someone who helped to define some of the early
data and enhanced service drives for telcos (US West) and cable data
(Roadrunner), how do you define an effective service bundle?
While many in the telecom and cable industry are enamored with the
all-IP nirvana, the reality is that many existing carriers still have legacy
voice and data networking infrastructure. How can carriers take advantage of
offering new services today without having to wait until IP comes along?
Let’s switch to Integra5 and the CSP (Converged Services Platform),
which can work in both legacy and IP-based environments. The company
talks about the CSP’s ability to effectively “Blend the Bundle.” What’s
the value of this approach?
Since the company’s inception in the late 1990s, Integra5 has racked up
a sizeable and growing customer base consisting of some independent
phone companies (EATEL and Comporium), municipalities (BVU) and cable
overbuilders (i.e, Knology and WOW). Can you talk about how Integra5’s
CSP platform has enabled these carriers to enhance their service sets?
What’s next for Integra5? With some pretty compelling independent
telcos and cable guys in the can, is Integra5’s message resonating with
the Tier 1 crowd?
