ECI's MSAN platform reaches subscriber high mark

Flagship Hi-FOCuS™ MSAN Solution now supports over one million IPTV subscribers

ECI Telecom (NASDAQ: ECIL), a global provider of networking infrastructure equipment, today announced that its flagship Hi-FOCuS™ MSAN platform now supports over one million IPTV subscribers worldwide, covering Western and Eastern Europe, Israel and Taiwan. Top tier carriers rely on ECI's highly scalable, edge to access broadband solution for advanced IP video services.

"ECI has been a leader in the IPTV market in Europe and Asia from the start, and we rated it as the number two IPTV access company globally in 2006 with 18 percent market share," stated Bob Larribeau, Principal Analyst at TelecomView. "ECI's products met the technical and performance requirements of IPTV services early on, which established it in some of the key early service deployments. We project that ECI will maintain a leadership position in the global IPTV market based on its strength in Europe as the market grows from 7.9 million subscribers globally at the end of 2006 to 70 million at the end of 2012."

ECI is exhibiting at BBWF Europe stand 7010.
